Sneha Meghe
Sneha is a devoted yoga practitioner with 14 years of personal practice and 8 years of teaching, whose classes resonate with the depth of her lifelong journey into yoga.
Growing up immersed in yoga’s rich traditions and deeply inspired by her grandmother’s heartfelt teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, she developed a profound connection to the practice from an early age.
Her journey led her to pursue certification in Hatha Yoga at the esteemed Kaivalyadhama Institute of Yoga and Research Center—a traditional Indian ashram that laid a solid foundation for her disciplined approach.
While teaching Hatha, she expanded her expertise by obtaining certification in Ashtanga Yoga from the Asana School of Yoga in Rishikesh, further honing her understanding of dynamic practice and precise alignment.
However, it was the discovery of Yin Yoga that truly transformed her path. Drawn to its gentle, meditative approach and its ability to unlock deep layers of physical and emotional tension, Sneha pursued teacher training in Yin Yoga with Evolation Yoga in the US. Certified in three distinct styles, she uniquely adapts her teaching to meet each student’s individual needs, creating an environment where both physical and spiritual growth are nurtured. In her Yin Yoga workshops, every long-held pose becomes a journey into stillness, offering participants the space to transform, heal, and reconnect with their true selves.
What sets Sneha's Yin Yoga classes apart is her commitment to a comprehensive, scientific approach. Her workshops dive deep into the scientific aspects of the practice, exploring key concepts from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the theory of Chinese meridians. This integration not only enhances the physical benefits of Yin Yoga but also offers an evidence-based perspective that helps practitioners truly understand and optimise their practice.
In addition, Sneha encourages students to develop a keen body awareness, guiding them to listen to their own bodies and understand what poses they need on any given day. She believes that the basic yoga asanas are the building blocks of all advanced poses—if practiced well with the right alignment, your body will naturally signal when it’s ready to progress.
Rather than chasing advanced poses, she emphasises going deeper into one's practice by honouring your body's wisdom and avoiding the urge to push into poses that aren’t yet ready for you.
Ultimately, Sneha's teaching is about cultivating an authentic, mindful practice that grows from a place of inner awareness and respect for one's unique body. Her classes offer a transformative blend of ancient wisdom and modern science, ensuring that every session not only deepens your physical practice but also enriches your meditation journey and overall well-being.
Sneha will be with us from 4th -5th July teaching her in depth Yin-Master Class.
